START A CONVERSATION

STARTING A CONVERSATION ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH MAY SEEM DAUNTING AT FIRST…

But people are more open to talk about it than you might think. Did you know 1 in 4 people will be affected by neurological or mental disorders at some point in their lives?

It’s actually surprisingly easy to open up a channel to talk about mental health and wellbeing. I believe that it is extremely important to practice starting a conversation, so here are some really simple, easy ways to get started!

Call or message an old friend, or someone you haven’t spoken to in a while.
All you have to say is “How are you?” and you’ve started

Ask someone about how they cope when they’re feeling down
You could get some ideas for yourself,
and you’ll be more understanding to them when that person is feeling low,
because you will know some ways to help
